We
welcome to our pulpit this week one of our missionary
partners, Rev. Peter Dewberry. Peter served as the pastor of
the New Life Christian Fellowship in Glastonbury for ten
years. Most recently he is the founder of Free Inside, a
prison ministry focused on bringing the gospel to
Connecticut’s prisons using the Alpha course.
Summer Picnics: Our mid-week summer picnics are underway.
Set up begins at 5:30 PM with dinner at 6:00 and prayer at
7:15. Hot dogs, hamburgers, buns and sodas are provided by
the church. Just bring a picnic type side dish and join us
for both a physical and spiritual midweek renewal.
Attention All Instrumentalists & Singers: Wednesday evening
July 16th, there will be an informal worship “jam session”
following the picnic and prayer meeting. For more
information, see Kathleen Thompson.
Community Outreach Opportunity: A local home care agency is
seeking compassionate, friendly volunteers to deliver
nutritious meals to elderly and disabled individuals in the
Glastonbury area and/or provide vital socialization to those
who often have little human interaction. Flexible schedules
available—once a month, twice a month, every week or every
day. Please contact Patti Wagner if interested.
Summer Ministry Opportunities:
Lawn Mowing = Sign up on bulletin board (see Dick Kelley)
Children’s Church = Sign up on bulletin board (see Patti

Donations Needed: Our church food pantry has become depleted
over the past few months. Please consider donating
non-perishable food items to the box in the fellowship hall.
Some suggestions: macaroni and cheese, tuna, soup, cereal,
canned or bottled juice, canned vegetable, peanut butter and
jelly. Don’t forget to check expiration dates! Thank You!
