 Ministries:

Youth Fellowship - In addition to special activities and events held throughout the year, teens in
grades 9 - 12 meet Sunday morning at 9:00 am for bible study and prayer.  -- Off for the summer

Adult Choir (Age 12+)  --  Off for the summer

Children's Choir (Through 8th grade)  --  Off for the summer

Awana ( 3 years old through 8th grade)  -- Off for the summer

Global & Local Missions Programs

Small Group Bible Studies -  At GCC we're committed to growing in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. One important way to do this is through strengthening our relationships with one another. Small group bible studies offer an excellent opportunity to do this by providing a safe place where we can talk about God’s Word and help one another apply it to our individual lives. We currently have six bible studies meeting during the week.  If you would like more information about what our groups have been studying or would like to visit one, please contact Pastor Don or call the church office.

Young People's Ministries

Reaching, Nurturing, and Equipping Kids from Birth through High School

At the Glastonbury Community Church, we love kids! We see in the bible that God loves kids, too. We are committed to valuing and caring for each child who walks through our doors, and appreciating them for the unique creations they are.

Nursery- We offer nursery care for children from birth through 3 years old during the morning worship service. Our nursery is always staffed by at least one trained adult woman. We have a separate Crib Room located inside the main nursery, suitable for napping infants or nursing moms. Both rooms of our nursery are stocked with plenty of bright, captivating, child-safe toys and books. A diaper-changing table and supplies are available for parents' and caregivers' use.

The following applies to our fall schedule:

Sunday School -Our Sunday School program meets every Sunday during the 10:30 worship service. Children age 4 through 8th grade begin by worshipping with their parents in the sanctuary, then are dismissed to age-graded Sunday School classes before the sermon. The high school class meets during the 9:00 service.

This Sunday School is not the Sunday School you may remember! We offer a dynamic program that engages children with biblical truth. They are encouraged to use their eyes, ears, bodies and minds to interact with what they are learning, then find ways to use it and apply it in their daily lives.

Our classes are small, and our teachers are gifted, enthusiastic, and tuned in to each child's individual needs and learning styles.

Safety- At GCC, we are committed to ensuring the safety of all children in our care. We believe it is honoring to God to protect and take care of the most vulnerable members of our church, as well as of our society. Everyone who wishes to work with children in the church must undergo a reference and background check. Every classroom door is equipped with windows, and we take care to see that children are not left alone with non-related adults.
